SEG Students Clinched 2nd Prize (Silver) & Most Popular Booth Award in the "Home Team InnoFest 2011"

A group of 4 SEG students had done us proud today in the “Home Team InnoFest 2011”, which is a competition cum exhibition hosted by Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to seek ideas and innovations to meet Singapore’s safety and security challenges. These students are from the Diploma in Biomedical Electronics (DBME) under one Industry Project “Wireless Dementia Patients Tracking System”. They clinched the 2nd prize (Silver Award, $600) under the ITE/Polys category & the most popular booth award ($500). Their total prize money is $1100.


Presenting to the panel of 4 judges, including Dr Marcelo Ang ( Deputy Director, Division of Engineering and Technology Management, NUS ) & Mr Wong Sung-en, Winston ( Director, Strategic Development, Strategic Development and Planning Division, MHA)


Applying PBL to the fullest with excellent soft skills when presenting to Guest of Honor is Mr Masagos Zukifli, who is our Minister of State for Home Affairs and Foreign Affairs.


There were moments of fun and laughter with lots of photo-taking and interaction with the public. Friendship foster in time of togetherness.
