As usual all the registration and grouping of campers into teams was done when the camp started at 11am. But, how could you miss out a hammer to start a camp without breaking some ICE?
“Help! I’m stuck” and “whack-o”
The team ice-breaker games played included the “Help! I’m stuck”,“Whack-o”,“chop-chilli-chop” and “bang – bang, chaki-chaki”. Of course not to forget, the mass ice-breaker to free the defensive boundary~“Dog and Bones”.
Soon the camper started their next activity after they had their lunch and rest which was team bonding games. Come’ on, don’t be shy to raise your spirits!
So how could a camp be a camp without wet games?
This game named “jump-jump” kicked started the beginning of the wet games for the camp. There would be ample chance to play with water games later… Look at the water bags splashing at them as well as those on the ground!
Couldn’t remember your team member names? Fear not!
“Who are you, balls” would surely help you in remembering the names of your teammates. Every player was supposed to call out the name of whoever standing behind them and pass them the ball till the ball reached the back. The last person of the line would have to run to the front to repeat the cycle till one of the team reached from one side of agora to another.
And Of course, a must play game for SEG was “JUMP!”
It was like checkers but you had to kick players out by jumping on any square that other players were in line with you be it front, back, left, right. The kicker’s turn would rotate among all the players. So…watch out where you jumped to!
So how well did you know the campus, year 1s? We challenged you to understand the campus area more than us. Next game was the “Photo Hunt”.
Do you know where it was located?
After the Photo Hunt, everyone was tired and waiting for their Pictures to be uploaded and checked before the score was awarded to their teams.
Finally, the long awaited dinner was served. Despite having a shower after dinner, , one could never stay clean in camp for long as soon after, it was the Camp Dance~ !. If you were once into song during 2000, then you should have heard of the song “Reach!” from S-club 7~
Reach out for the stars!~
And the day ended with a camp mass dance for “day 1”.
